We worked alongside Ashby Rotary Club to raise money for shelter boxes. Shelter boxes are a home in a box for up to 12 people, The boxes include everything a family would need such as beds and a kitchen. The boxes are £500 each and he hoped to raise enough for two. Rotary and our self decided a big breakfast would be the best way to go forward. We started selling tickets and we sold 100 at a £5 minimum donation.
The day was a great success, 100 people turned up and enjoyed a full english breakfast prepared by our chef and landlord, Phil . Four members of our staff donated their time and worked very hard at the event. We also had a tombola going which sold out within minutes.
A huge thank you to everyone who was part of this event for a great cause. W managed to raise £1450.00, it was a fabulous effort by all.
